1. Vapor mounted Primary Seal with Weather Protector.
2. Metallic shoe type Mechanical Seal.
3. Vapor mounted Primary Seal with Wiper tip type Secondary Seal.
4. Product mounted Primary Seal with Wiper tip type Secondary seal.

PRIMARY SEAL:

1. Mechanical Seals: Mechanical seal consist of "shoe" which is in permanent contact with the tank shell, and having continuous sealing membrane filling the gap between the top of the sealing and the pontoon rim angle to arrest the product vapors. The Pantograph Type Mechanical Seal is the most widely used design on Floating Roof Tanks and has been used on tanks ranging from 7.0 M to 92.0 M in diameter for Crude and all type Petroleum products.
2. Vapor Mounted Primary Foam Seals: Compressible foam is held by holding down arrangement in envelope, which traps the vapors at the top of the rim gap. The Foam seal designed is a vapor mounted seal. The seal design has been used on tanks from 7.0 M to 92 M in diameter containing the full range of Crude and all type Petroleum products.

 

3. Product Mounted Primary Seal: Installed in contact with liquid by Compressible foam, which is held by holding down arrangement in envelope & the sealing efficiency is very high. Product Mounted Primary seals is more efficient than Vapor seals. Liquid seals can most easily accommodate variations in rim gaps on distorted tanks. The Foam Seal is product mounted and can be used on either external floating roofs or internal pan floating roofs. This seal has been used in tanks from 7.0 M to 92 M in diameter containing the full range of Crude and all type Petroleum products.

SECONDARY SEAL:

4. Rim secondary seals have the advantage of further reducing vapor losses of products as this acts as Secondary seal having Vapor Barrier curtain. Secondary Seal is a rim mounted seal suitable for external Floating Roof Tanks from 7.0 M to 92 M in diameter containing the full range of Crude and all type Petroleum products.
